Framed 1854 Shipwreck Artifact Souvenir Delia Marie Hilton Head Brass Spike
These are framed
artifacts brought up from the shipwrecked remains of the 19th century sailing
ship Delia Marie. This cargo ship was lost during a hurricane in 1854, not far
from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. From Shipwrecks, Incorporated, this is
a brass spike used in the construction of the ship, and an oyster and
barnacle-encrusted grey decorative tile from the ship's cargo. In addition to
these objects, the frame includes a map of the area where the shipwreck lies,
historical information, and certification of authenticity of items. It measures
31" x 25" and is dated 1985. This is truly a one-of-a-kind find!
